If you haven’t heard of Oil Pulling, then you are fortunate enough to bump into this post which will talk about this method of detoxification. This is a detox method or therapy that has a few simple steps.
First, to start this detoxification method called Oil Pulling, one must start the day, first thing in the morning, when the stomach is still empty and no other liquid including water has been taken yet, by taking one tablespoon of oil, sesame, sunflower or whatever oil is preferred, and putting the tablespoon of oil in the mouth.
The second step is to gargle or swish the oil in the mouth without swallowing. Do the gargling as if the oil is a mouth wash but do not tilt your head back and gargle in your throat. As this is done, the oil will get more watery as saliva is naturally produced and added to the oil.
This Oil Pulling should be done for at least twenty minutes as the oil-saliva mixture becomes thicker. This mixture then will start to pull out toxins from the body.
After the twenty minute period is up, spit out the mixture. It is recommended that it is spat into the toilet bowl due to the mixtures toxicity. The next step is to rinse the mouth with warm water, a mouth wash, or a diluted hydrogen peroxide to remove the toxins left in the mouth.
All these steps are very simple. And that is what Oil Pulling is – another way detoxification.
Too much of anything is wrong. This principle applies to sun bathing, too. Even when you stay on the Outer Banks of a body of water and cover yourself up with sun block, too much of the sun’s rays can damage your skin and even cause disease.
That is why it is advised to sun bathe early in the morning or late in the afternoon and not anytime between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Sometimes, even as it draws closer to that time period, a sun bather can feel the heat difference in the sun at earlier or later times.
When Not to Fast
Medical practitioners advise that an individual should not fast when the individual:
1. is underweight
2. is pregnant or breast-feeding
3. is under extreme stress
4. has anemia
5. has Tye 1 diabetes
6. is taking a prescription medication that should not be stopped
7. has kidney failure
8. has severe liver disease
9. suffers from gout (except under specialist supervision)
It was mentioned in the previous blog post that the correlation between fatty diets and high incomes , in wealthy countries where various cancers like lung cancer, breast cancer, Mesothelioma cancer, and other types, where they are also on the increase, is obvious. Although, there are no hard evidences or scientific proofs to these, it is better to play safe that to be sorry. Let us practice body detoxification.
Recently, there have been a lot of scientific speculation that came out about the use of underarm antiperspirants. The speculation is that the use of antiperspirants could be linked with an increased risk of breast cancer. The reason posed is that antiperspirants are said to impede the natural purging of toxins from the body.
This is an interesting but unproven hypothesis. Inasmuch as antiperspirants, like fatty diets and high incomes, are found mainly in wealthy Western societies where various cancers are also on the increase, there could be a correlation.
However, there is no firm proof of this and many researchers feel that underarm toxins would merely be eliminated elsewhere. Research continues, however, into the possible adverse effects of parabens (preservatives added to antiperspirants).
In conclusion, while there is no evidence to the speculation on antiperspirants, it would be wise to avoid underarm products containing parabens.
